Real Rescued Acrobatic Housecats Perform in Philadelphia! Including the only all cat band in the entire world, live!

Think your cat can do tricks?  Well you haven't seen the Amazing Acro-Cats!

The Amazing Acro-cats Featuring Tuna and the Rock Cats are a troupe of REAL performing house cats.   The Acro-cats experience all started with Chief Executive Human (CEH for short) and animal trainer Samantha Martin. She has not only rescued her own pets, but also has found happy homes for over 200 homeless cats and kittens. Using the magic of clicker training (a stress-free positive reinforcement method) Samantha and the cats take their newfound amazing abilities on the road, and tour the nation’s stages in the infamous Acro-cat bus! A portion of the proceeds always benefits our mobile foster and rescue efforts.   They have cats riding skateboards, jumping through hoops, and Alley, our rising star, has even leapt into the Guinness Book of World Records, holding the record for the longest cat jump! 

 The finale is the ONLY ALL-CAT BAND IN THE ENTIRE WORLD - Tuna and the Rock Cats! The current band lineup features Oz on guitar, Asti on drums, Nue on keyboard, and NOW some brand new members: Ahi and Albacore on cowbell and woodblocks, Buggles on trumpet, and even a chicken - Cluck Norris - rockin’ the tambourine!  “I can die happy now!” an audience member has claimed after seeing the band. 

Featured on national TV shows like the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, their most recent appearance was the 2017 Puppy Bowl broadcast on Animal Planet.  Tuna and the Rock Cats did the half-time honors with a performance from Kitty Gaga in her vegan meat dress!

Farewells and New Beginnings - Kittens for Adoption!

It should come as no surprise that I, as an animal lover, often surround myself with other animal lovers for friends. My good friend, Laurie, recently fostered a mama cat and her litter of six kittens. Caring for young kittens is nothing less than a herculean task. Young kittens make a colossal mess while learning how to eat, play, and use the litter pan. Things are slightly easier with a mama cat around, but trust me when I say that Laurie has had her work cut out for her! Now Laurie's kittens are 8 weeks old, full of spunk, (have greatly refined their litter pan skills - phew!), and are are ready to go to new homes where they'll be loved and cherished forever. Are you looking to add a new family member to your home?

Join us at the Bark for Life!

Hey, fellow pet-lovers! Guess what’s coming up in just a few short days? The American Cancer Society’s Bark for Life!  It’s this Saturday, April 22nd, at 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. in Memorial Park in Pottstown. The American Cancer Society Bark for Life is a noncompetitive walk event for dogs and their owners to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer. You can view the full schedule of events here.

Don’t miss out on the Top Dog Contest (more on that here). Votes are $1 a piece and voting is open through April 26th.

Bark for Life is also collecting Doghouse Donations for dogs in need! If you plan to attend, please bring cleaning supplies, paper towels, old towels, dog & cat food, dog treats, toys, leashes, bowls, flea & tick prevention, and anything else you can think of that rescue dogs might need! This year’s donations will go to the rescues participating in the Bark for Life Event!

And, don’t forget to get your ticket(s) to try your hand at winning the Basket of Cheer! Tickets are sold throughout the year and the winner is pulled at the Relay for Life.

This year we are donating a comprehensive pet photography session in the live auction.   This is a sample of what you can expect from your session.  It's fun and we accomplish a wide variety of photography in just two hours. 

 

Included in the donated package:

• Up to two (2) hours of unlimited photography for up to two (2) pets at one (1) location of your choice.  If photographing at your home we can do both indoors and out.
• A 60 day password protected online gallery of proofs
• All consultations before and after the photo session
• All travel within Berks, Lancaster, and Chester counties

Can't make it to the auction but want to bid on this package?  Email Lorraine Storms to request a proxy bid.  She’ll need to collect some basic information from you – namely your credit card number (just give her your phone number and a staff member will call you – no need to email that!) and your highest bid – and she'll assign a staff member to proxy bid for you on the night of the auction.  All of your information remains confidential.
